Education

Jeremy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (with honors), earned a law degree from Boston University School of Law, and completed graduate studies in finance at Columbia University. As President of his class at Penn, he leads alumni engagement between his class and the University.

Professional

Jeremy Shure is the Managing Partner, Fund Investments at Sella Direct Ventures (SDV), the venture investing arm of Sella Group, a 140+ year-old ~$75 billion European financial institution. SDV’s fund investment platform invests in venture funds across North America and Western Europe.

He leads SDV’s venture fund investment strategy and execution and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee, which is responsible for both fund and direct investment strategies. This includes managing a growing portfolio of 50+ venture fund investments spanning emerging managers through established firms across early-stage and growth investing, as well as leading the institutionalization of SDV’s fund investment platform.

His investing perspective as an LP draws on two decades in the venture ecosystem, including earlier experience as an operator, banker, and attorney, which informs how he evaluates people, opportunities, markets, risk, and outcomes. Prior experience includes co-founding the Emerging Companies and Venture Practice at a national law firm, leading the East Coast Early Stage Practice at Silicon Valley Bank, and serving as Chief Revenue Officer of the first nationally chartered digital bank in the United States.

He is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 23), recipient of the Class Leadership Award, co-chair of the Kauffman Fellows Global LP Special Interest Group, and a member of the NYC Advisory Board of Crosslink Capital’s Alpha Network.

He lives in Westchester, New York, with his wife and four children. Outside of work, he is a serial hobbyist, including coaching youth sports, studying magic, playing tennis, reading constantly, and being a lifelong Bruce Springsteen fan. He recently passed the five-year mark of completing The New York Times crossword every day.

Fellowship

He served his fellowship under the mentorship of Brad Feld (Mentor Class 20, KF BOD), Managing Director of the Foundry Group, and David Cohen (Mentor Class 22), Founder and CEO of Techstars.
