
Sungjoon Cho
Sungjoon received his MBA from Columbia Graduate School of Business, MS in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, and BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
Sungjoon's second job, hobbies, and entertainment are all provided by his 8 year old twins and 2 year old daughter.
Sungjoon Cho is the Founder & Managing Partner of Silicon Valley-based Fortitude Ventures, a newly formed venture capital firm focused on AI and Robotics powered autonomy.
Sungjoon has been investing in computing platform shifts for over a decade as a Silicon Valley–based VC, backing early-stage companies across multiple generations of AI and robotics—from computer vision and machine learning to today’s advances in generative AI. An engineer by training, he began his career in the mid 2000s as a technical product manager for Samsung’s mobile System-on-Chip processors during the last computing paradigm shift, and later advised companies navigating mobile disruption as a consultant at McKinsey.
As a member of Class 25, Sung is serving his fellowship at D20 Capital under the mentorship of Seth Levine (Foundry Group).
